With two teams out for the Start of Season Blitz, and after playing the fantastic two day UCD IV blitz last week and coming away with the Plate, the Renegades are looking to start the season with a bang. A full complement of Renegade Titans led by team captain Paul Wallace will take the field at 10am to play UCD 2, while an amalgamation of the Reds and Beachers, the Red Beachers will play their first game at 11am against Leinster League champs Kiely’s Kegs.
When all is said and done, and if the weather is as good as it promises to be, it will be a great day of softball.We hope to follow that with a night out to celebrate, or really commiserate our loss of last year’s batting champ and co-captain Fearghal Cunningham to work and the Saudis for this softball season. We will get to enjoy his wit and and bat on Saturday before he heads off so I hope you can make it out. See you out on the diamond.
